On a subset of projects, we trade reduced cash for equity in the company we are building with. This makes sense when the work is differentiated, the founders are people we want to be partnered with, and the upside is real enough that taking part of our compensation in it is rational. We do not push hybrid as a default. We accept it when both sides agree the math works.
